No show policy: If you fail to arrive for your scheduled appointment without prior notice, it will be considered a “no show” on your part.  Multiple instances of no-shows may result in limitation on future booking or the requirement to prepay your appointment.

Road safety laws: You acknowledge that the information that you have provided about the age of the child who will use the car seat (also referred to as child restraint system) to be installed is correct. Among other things, the Australian road safety rules specify age limits that regulate the use of car seats by children. Baby Bunting Pty Ltd and its employees, officers and agents accept no liability for any claim, loss, damage, cost or expense that you may incur as a result of children using a car seat that cannot lawfully be used by that child under Australian road safety laws.

Our principles of car seat installation: We believe that young children should be in rearward-facing car seats for as long as possible. We will not put a child in a forward-facing car seat until they are at least 12 months and have reached the first forward-facing height marker of their seat (measured without any inserts in the car seat.) If the car seat has extended rear-facing mode, we recommend the car seat be in rear-facing mode until the child has reached the highest rear-facing height marker (at this level, the child will usually be around 24 to 30 months old). We believe this is the best and safest way for children to travel in car seats.

Please arrive early: To ensure that we can provide you and every customer with great customer service we request you arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment. If you are delayed and have not arrived by your scheduled appointment time, our Child Restraint Technician may not be able to carry out your installation. Whilst we will try and accommodate you, due to demand, the next available installation appointment may not be on the same day.

Extreme weather: Most car seat installations occur in car parks adjacent to Baby Bunting stores. For the safety of customers, their children and our Team Members, Baby Bunting hasextreme weather guidelines that apply to car seat installation services. In the event of extreme heat or cold, storms or other inclement weather which may make installing a car seat unsafe, your appointment may be postponed to a later time in which case we will attempt to contact you in advance of your scheduled appointment.

Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions: Proper installation of car seats is only one part of ensuring that car seats operate optimally. You should always use car seats in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and regularly check the car seat to ensure that it continues to be firmly installed.

Minor damage: You acknowledge and agree that, while every effort will be made to avoid damage to your car, minor reasonable wear and tear may occur to the vehicle as a result of the installation process. This may include, but is not limited to, slight indentation, abrasion, fabric scuffing, seat cover distortion or pressure marks caused by the installation equipment or by securing the car seat.

Reasonable damage is understood to mean damage which is minimal, superficial, and directly related to the installation and such damage will not be considered a breach of these terms nor grounds for a claim for compensation or repair. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that any unique or premium seat materials, seat covers, modifications, car seat accessories or special care instructions are communicated to the Child Restraint Technician before the installation begins.

Additional Accessories:

Please note that car seat accessories and/or fitting aids may be required from time to time in order for our Child Restraint Technicians to carry out a safe and practical fitting. The need for these items is assessed on a case-by-case basis at the time of the installation and may come at an additional cost to you, in which case you will be requested to approve such additional costs.

Multi-Restraint Fittings:

Whilst we strive to accommodate your requests for multi-restraint install configurations, factors such as the type of car seat and the make, model or size of your vehicle may impact the ability to do so safely and effectively. Our certified Child Restraint Technicians are here to help you select the products that best fit your individual needs.

Special CRS and medical exemptions: The provision of specialized advice and installation of car seats for children with special needs or medical exemptions is a highly specialized area within child vehicle safety and it is not within scope of our Child Restrain Technicians.
